John & Rose Zanelli of Victoria, BC

I am looking for info regarding the following family, as well as advice on locating obituries, records, etc. for
people who lived/died in Victoria in the 1900's. The following data is 'alledged' and has remained unverifiable by me thus far.

* John "Zan" Reginald Augustus ZANELLI - b. 14 March 1891 in Portsmouth, England. Joined the British Royal
Navy in England while very young, transferring to the Canadian Navy prior to the Battle of Zutman(?) during
WWI. Father's name unknown, mother's name Elizabeth; may have had a brother named Albert living in England
up to the 1990's. May also have been married in England.

At some point after reaching Canada, John married Rose Jane EKT, who was born 7 May 1904 in Great Falls MT,
USA. Rose's father was John Ekt; mother was Julia (Maurin or Courland) but Julia married Artemus Samuel
Westcott shortly after Rose's birth, and she (Rose) sometimes used the name Westcott.

John & Rose Zanelli died, and are buried, in Victoria. He died 17 Oct 1981; she died 18 Jan 1982. They had 4
children, three living to adulthood.

If anyone can help me, please email me privately. Thanks - Jeri
