I have an envelope of obituaries that my grandmother (?) collected....they are mostly her family, however, there is one for a William Burdis which is not, as far as I know, a relative. There is no year on it but my grandmother died in 1959 so it is prior to that. Thought perhaps it might be of interest to someone or they could identify it.
"William Burdis Dies in England. Cabled word has been received of the sudden death on Tuesday of William David Burdis of Manchester, and formerly of Vancouver. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Burdis, well-known pioneers of Vancouver.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Lieutenant Roy Stonier Burdis, age 20, and also by two sisters, Mrs. James Lamb, Vancouver, and Mrs. P.R. Duncan, West Vancouver."
