Thanks for the Canadian census search site.
Not sure if this is my guy though.
Below is a 1918 WW1 Draft Card for Alfred Irvin showing that he was born in MO (this is my guy):
Alfred Irvin DePew
WW1 Draft Card 27 Sep 1918
Registration Card: 371 B
Registration Report: 22-1-3_C
age: 30 DOB: 26 Apr 1888 MO
Medium height and weight with Blue eyes and Dark hair
Farmer working in Youngstown,Alberta,Canada
Wife: Sadie M. DePew address:Youngstown,Alberta,Canada
Stamp of Local Board: Yellow Medicine
His parents were Smith and Rosa Belle Barr DePew.
Alfred Irvin only had one sibling Seal Oscar DePew b. 1890.
Smith and Rosa divorced before 1900. He and 2nd wife Ruth resided in Hennipen,MN. Rosa married twice after.
But, wonder if he had a DePew uncle of whom he lived with in Canada. I haven't gotten that far yet, but is very possible !
I suppose an obituary could clear all this up nicely.
Your info is a "keeper" and I appreciate the help.
