Lost Avey immigrant to Canada

I am seeking information on Gwendoline Annie Avey, born in London, England abt. 1897. She emigrated to Canada and sailed on the Empress of Scotland, arr. Quebec Sept, 24, 1927 as a Landed Immigrant. On the ship's passenger log, her given destination was a friend's address in Winnipeg, and her passage was listed as being paid by the Canadian Government. This emigration record is the ONLY information I can find on her in North America. Often immigrants went to other Provinces but she is not findable anywhere. If anyone can provide more leads on what happened to her after arrival in Canada I would be most appreciative! She is my grandfather's sister. Thank you!
