"Eric Daniel Bergfeet" as he is listed in the BC Death Registrations died at age 20 in 1928 at Port Neville BC.
The Registration shows he was Swedish, single, male, working as a "2nd. loader" in the logging industry, and had been living for "7 weeks one day" "at place of death".
He died of severe trauma and extreme shock to his body. A Coroner's Inquiry was held and I have requested the release of a copy of it, from the BC Archives.
He was buried at Sandwick BC, just N. of Courtenay BC on the East coast of Vacouver Island.
Port Neville is about 220km. N. of Vancouver BC, up the mainland coast. In 1928 there were some 60 people listed in the BC Directories as living there in a logging settlement. There were two logging companies operating out of there.
