Fred & Sydney (b. born England) are in the 1906 census in Winnipeg, both boarders at 473 Ellis Ave. Fred (30 yrs) emigrated in 1903 and Sydney (17 yrs) in 1905.
Interestingly (although this may just be a coincidence) they are living next door to a Flett family. Catherine Flett with sons Jack, Roderick, Magnus, Donald & Harry, and dau. Isabel, Chris & Ethel.
Sidney (# 622301) signed up for WWI, giving his b. as 7 June 1890 in Alkborough England, and his next of kin at Mrs. Hill of 784 Sherbrooke St, Wpg.
