Looking for family of John ROGERS, born December 1881 in Carleton Place, Ontario, died December 1918 of the Spanish flu in Vancouver, BC, age 36.
John is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver. No other Rogers are known to be in his plot.
John’s death notice in his hometown newspaper reported that he was a second engineer on a coast vessel on the Pacific and told us that he was survived by his wife. His death notice in the Daily Province reported “beloved husband of Mrs. Edna Rogers of 742 Burrard.” We have found no marriage registration after the 1901census – 1918 for this John Rogers, in Ontario, Manitoba or BC. His wife and any children are lost to us.
