I have been trying for over two years to obtain information on my dear friend, Mary Elizableth Blake. I am so sorry to hear that she passed away. I have known her since the 5th grade. She went to Mount Alvernia School and High School when she wasn't overseas with her parents, Jim and Elizabeth Blake. She was graduated from Stonehill College in l962. She was born in October of l941. She was an only child. Her mother had a sister Edith and a brother Fr. Francis Gleason, both of whom are deceased. She had some first cousins in West Roxbury on her mother's side and some on her dad's side. Her father had an older brother General Bill Blake who was head of the VA in Boston for many years. He had no children but I think the Blake Family came from Fall River. Jim Blake was a career army officer who served in Japan, Korea and Italy.
Elizabeth was a teacher who returned to graduate school when Mary was in high school.

Mary Elizabeth was a remarkable woman and a dear friend. I will miss her. I will also try to contact a friend of hers who has been trying to locate her....................
