Hello Marlene,
I have been having quite a time with this Jesse family! I suspect that those would be their children or grandchildren of Robert Jesse and Matilda McNeill.
I have had a reply from a lady telling me that their is a newspaper article mentioning the marriage of this Robert Jesse to Matilda McNeill in the Fort Victoria records. They were married 25 Jan 1861. Why this is not in the Colonial marriages, I do not understand.
Maybe I have to contact the church. In his son Robert's marriage to Edith Wales, Robert and Matilda are listed as Episcopalian. All I need is the Robert Jesse Sr.'s father's name and I can connect him to my family. I have sent for Robert Jesse Sr.'s death certificate in the hopes it will mention his parents names. Still waiting for answers!!
Thanks,
Kim
