David and Mary Elder MARTIN MEDICINE HAT, ALBERTA, CANADA

Hi. I am seeking information on the MARTIN family who immigrated from Scotland to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.
David and Mary (ELDER)MARTIN settled there with their children. I believe they were David MARTIN, Vivian MARTIN, and John Elder MARTIN. John was a chef who eventually moved to the Michigan, USA, and married my grandmother, Beatrice Mae (GETTY) WAINWRIGHT on May 27, 1935 in Wayne County, Detroit, Michigan. This was his third marriage, and her second. He used to cook for the Browne Memorial Camp for the Boy Scouts in Abilene, Kansas. He joined the Canadian Army in 1918. He died in 1962 in Detroit, Michigan. If anyone has any information of any of these people, please, please contact me. Or, if you don't know anything about these people, but you know of a source that I can write to, please forward that on to me. I am not familiar with where to look for genealogical data in Canada. Thank you in advance.

Donna
