While browsing in an anitque store in Port Perry I came across a bible that was presented to Wm Alexander Mc Quade by the Loyal Orange Lodge #408 of Cartwright. I have found out that Cartwright is a township in Durham county and that the lodge was located in a small hamlet known as Pontypool. The lodge is no longer active. Mc Quade is not a surname I am researching but I thought some one out there might be interested because there was an obit that mentioned a son of Alexander Mc Quade by the name of Garfield who died in Calgary Alberta. If anyone is interested they can email me as I have the name and address of the shop.
