May & Lilly McKAY, Grande Prairie, 40's
Posted by: Robert N. Ward Date: August 29, 2001 at 17:42:37

I am looking for any information whatsoever on May (DART) McKAY- husband's name unknown to me- and her daughter Lilly McKAY.

They lived in Grande Prairie from approximately 1941 until at least 1945, probably after that.

May McKAY taught music three days a week, and her daughter Lilly worked in a drug store in 1944.

We are searching for my wife's ancestry, and May (DART) McKAY would have been my wife's 1st cousin once removed. May's father was Al (possibly "Almon") DART, who moved from North Dakota to the Peace River district of BC, and died in 1935 in Buffalo, Saskatchewan on a return to BC from a visit in North Dakota.

May McKAY's brother Guy C. DART died in Fort St. John, BC in 1977, and she also had a sister Emma.

Any information at all on May and Lilly McKAY who lived in Grande Prairie in the 1940s; their further descendants or other relations, would be immensely appreciated.
