Hello, Denise:
Your post would go well on the DOUGHERTY genforum also.
I am not related to CAMPIONS. I am related to DOUGHERTYS. I may have some answers for you, though. I wish I could post this on both Dougherty and Campion forums without retyping it all. Does anyone know how to post on two family forums?

DENISE:
You were looking for information on MICHAEL CAMPION, born 24 Aug 1840, Kilkenny, Ireland. He died 12 Jul 1915, Willow City, ND. Married 3 May 1865 to MARGARET DOUGHERTY, born 25 March, 1845, Kilfenora, Ireland. She died 29 Dec 1915, Willow City ND

MARGARET DOUGHERTY was the Sister of my Great Grandfather MICHAEL P. DOUGHERTY, born 28 Feb 1854 in Ironton, KY. He married Catherine Kiley 9 Feb, 1872. M. P. Dougherty died in Wing, ND 8 Aug 1918. He is buried in the Dougherty family plot in Milwaukee, Wis.

The parents of MARGARET AND MICHAEL DOUGHERTY were MICHAEL P. DOUGHERTY (senior), born 1805 in Kilfenora,Clare, Ireland, married 1842 to MARY MAHER. MICHAEL P. (Senior) died 1892 in Willow City, ND and was buried in Cooperstown, WI. MARY MAHER was born 1824 Toomyvara, Tipperary, Ireland. She died Feb 1863 in Franklin, WI and is buried in Cooperstown , WI.

They had seven children:
* 1. MARGARET 1845-1915 b Kilfenora, Ireland
* 2. Ellen b 1847 Kilfenora, Ireland
d Green Bay, WI
buried Cooperstown, WI
* 3. Ann b 1849 Pittsburg, PA
d 12 Mar 1876 Mishicott, WI
buried Cooperstown, WI
married Jacob Vertz
* 4. William E.b 8 Mar 1852 Louisville, KY
d 18 Mar 1931 Omaha, NE
married Ann Kiley 7 Aug 1876
* 5. MICHAEL P. 1854-1918 b Ironton, KY
* 6. Mary b 26 Oct 1860 Franklin, WI
married 11 Nov 1878 John W.Kiley
* 7. John Z. b 1862 Franklin, WI
d 6 Feb 1920 Wing ND
buried Depere, WI Mt Olive Cemetery
married Jul 1883 Bridget Marnian

It is interesting that 2 children were born in Ireland, 1 in Pennsylvania, 2 in different locations in Kentucky and 2 in Wisconsin.

Also interesting is that 3 Dougherty siblings married 3 Kileys.

Any help to you, Denise?

Ann Stribling Spiess
