Hi Deb! My Campions were in Cold Ashby (on the other side of Northampton), Northamptonshire, in records back to the late 1700s anyhow, so I'm sure we're related somehow. ;)

But for closer connections, have a look at the post down the board,
"Northamptonshire CAMPIONS", Nikki Harris

I haven't read the thread, but she refers to

John CAMPION b1831 and Mary CAWLEY

John was born in Piddington (per his appearance in the various censuses).

This could be John's household in 1841 (Roade and Piddington look to be less than 5 mi apart):

Charlotte Campion 45
Charlotte Campion 2
John Campion 6
Richard Campion 10
Robert Campion 14

Anyhow, I'm no expert on Campion interconnections in the area, just thought I'd draw the possible connection with yours to your attention!
