Campion Family of Ilsington, Devon, England
Posted by: Donald Harrell (ID *****1583) Date: March 18, 2007 at 17:45:54
  of 693

I am looking for information about the family of my gr-gr-gr-grandmother, Susan Campion Norrish, b. about 1807, d. 1887 and buried at St. Michael's in Ilsington.
I believe her parents to have been Samuel(b1782)and Ann, with possible brothers beign John and Thomas. All three men to have been blacksmiths.
I also believe that a possible brother(?father/cousin?) of Samuel might have been the Thomas Campion(blacksmith) who was hanged as a result of the Ilsington Bread Riot of 1795.
