Edward Campion of Hertfordshire, and elsewhere.

In doing English research to find my Blackwell connection, I have developed material on William Blackwell, the Clerk of London from 1539 to about 1570. He was married to Margaret Campion, daughter of Edward Campion. Further in this context I found that the Blackwells and Campions had held land at Totteridge, Hertfordshire for two hundred years prior.

Both families were Catholic, and suffered during the time of Elizabeth I. In my files I have the first name of Edward's wife, and the name of a Campion, probably their son, who was a member of one of the Inns of Court who (fortunately or unfortunately) died before he was forced to accept the Church of England ritual.

These Campions held manors in several counties, about which I could provide a little more, if needed.
