Thanks Abi for your offer of help. The Barker/Campion connection I'm interested in is Charles Barker b1856 Denton who married Alice Campion b1857 Piddington. They married 23 Apr 1876 at Denton. They lived and raised their family at Brafield On The Green. They were my husband's Ggrandparents. Alice's parents were John Campion and Mary (Cawley). However my mother in law always believed that George Gibbs Campion was her grandfather. He is buried in Brafield church and his grave was always pointed out as her "grandfather's grave". Keen to solve this mystery. Do you have any knowledge of these Barkers or Campions? I have tracked the Campions back as far as 1769 and they all seem to have come from Piddington. The Barkers all seem to have originated from Denton back to 1763 which is as far as I've got - don't know therefore if you'll be able to establish any connection with your Houghton and Brington families. Be great if you can.
