Campion-Elevart We have a Michael Campion who married Mary Kennedy in Kilkenny, probably in the 1840s. Their eldest, Matthew Elevart Campion was born in Kilkenny in November 1844. The family emigrated to North America, to Quebec and then to Michigan City, Indiana USA. Looking for a connection to Catherine Elevart-Green McCrory, b. June 11, 1834 in Kilkenny. Her family emigrated to Burlington Vermont, thence to Quebec and she then went to Michigan City, Indiana where she married John McCrory. The Campion and McCrory families bought adjacent burial plots on the same day. They served as Baptismal sponsors for each other's children. What is the significance of the Elevart name? Are the Campions and the Elevart-Greens related? If so, how?
