I recently ran through the Microfilms of Freshford, Lisdowney, Castlecomer, Tulloroan, and Danesfort Catholic parishes in Kilkenny up to about 1846. The films I got for Tulloroan and Castlecomer were virtually unreadable. But Freshford and Lisdowney were pretty good. I extracted all the births and marriages where Campion, Brennan, Carroll, or Malay were principals, plus many where they were godparents or witnesses.
There are lots of Brennans and Campions in both Parishes, but predominantly Brennan in Freshford and mostly Campion in Lisdowney.
My great grandfather, John Brennan married Margaret Campion. I found a record of such a marriage in Lisdowney in 1845. They came to North America in 1846. My father said his family was from Freshford which is about 4 miles from Lisdowney.
I have the extracts, not pretty and not guaranteed perfect, in Word documents. I could do lookups on request. Or I may get a web site.
