In reply to:
ALEXANDER MALCOLM CAMPBELL MISSING GRANDFATHER
Mary Higgins Walsh 12/12/12
Blantyre is in Lanarkshire.
IMMIGRATION of Alexander with his mother & Siblings:
SS Pretorian 1914:
Catherine CAMPBELL 49, b Wishaw
William CAMPBELL 20, Engineer
Mary CAMPBELL 19, Domestic
Alexander CAMPBELL 17, miner
Catherine CAMPBELL 11
Nessie CAMPBELL 7
The NOK was stated to be William NELSON in Wishaw (Catherine's brother)
Alexander was described as: 5', 3" tall, Fresh Complexion, Dark Hair, Brown Eyes.
All Going to husband/father: John Campbell of Wenimissett House, Three Rivers, Mass.
(Note: daughter Margaret is not on this Manifest).
In 1917, Alexander completed his Draft Registration for WW1:
Alexander Campbell, 108 Springfield, Three Rivers, MA
DoB: 14 Dec 1895, Blantyre, Scotland
Imm Status: Alien
Occ: Cotton Mill Operative at Palmer Mills, Three Rivers
Marital Status: Single
Registered: 15 Jun 1917, Palmer MA
In 1920, the widower Alexander 23, is a Labourer in Cotton Mill, and is in his parents household in Palmer, MA. Baby Agnes age 6mths is there too but seems to be incorrectly referenced as "Niece" not "Grandaughter" ( this indicates one of Alexander's siblings also in the household) perhaps filled in the Census info and mistakenly referred to Agnes in her relationship to her/him as opposed to Agnes'relationship to the House Head ie: Grand-daughter.
In 1930, Agnes is with the MULVEY family (her Aunt Margaret nee CAMPBELL).Margaret is listed as age 38, b Scotland immigrated 1912.
In 1940 she is working out, as a maid.
You state Alexander's dob to be 14 December 1895 and that his 3rd wife may be named Hazel.
There is this:

BACK to the Scottish BDM (inxes online as Scotlands People).
In Blantyre District between 1894 and 1896, there were 15 Births registered as CAMPBELL.
There isno Al*an or Al*an Ian or Al*an John
There is no Alexander Malcolm, or Malcolm
There is one Alexander - registered 1896 (a birth occuring in Dec 1895 could wellbe registered in January 1896).
The name you have: Alexander Malcolm and the dob you have, and the occupation you have of Plumber -where all did that information come from?
Kind regards
Anne
