I am not for sure if there is a connection, but sounds too much like my family. My grandmother was Marie Blanche (Pearl) Campbell who married Charles V. Dumas (son of Charles Dumas and Rosalie Dumas) in 1922 in North Dakota.Pearl is the daughter of Charles Campbell and Marie Veronique Ritchot (daughter of Raphael Ritchot and Isabelle Gladu ---- Chippewa Indians --- Metis).Charles Campbell is the son of James Campbell and Isabelle Delorme (daughter of Joseph Delorme (killed in massacre by Sioux indians by rain in the face who was a member of Sitting Bull) and Isabelle Gourneau (Guernon)---chippewa indians). James Campbell was married before to Elizabeth McGillivray.Their children were Elizabeth Ann, William Colin, and Alexander.James married Isabelle Delorme and they had a son Charles in North Dakota born on April 19, 1880.Charles married Marie Veronique Ritchot "Malvina" on November 20, 1902.My grandmother was born on June 16, 1903 in North Dakota.Charles Campbell was killed on December 1903.Pearl had 5 sons (1 died at stillbirth with her in 1932).The 4 other boys are now deceased. From that group there is 1 cousin not married nor children. My father had 2 children:my brother Donnie who married cindy. They had 2 children:Jenna and Connor.Jenna is in college.Connor is married to Apryl and have a daughter Finley Rhys Dumas.I am Patricia Dumas.I am not married, but have a serious boyfriend.I have just recently started trying to find my dad's side of the family. If there is a connection, please contact me.
Thank You,
Patricia Dumas
