Rowena Campbell b abt 1825 in Campbell Cty married William A Smith 23 Feb 1846 in Campbell County. 1850 census they are living in Sand Town Dist., Campbell County, GA with a 1yr son John A Smith. William A was b in SC came to Campbell County and died before after 1900 & 1910. 1910 Rowena is given as living with her dau Mary and Husband, Pinkney Kiser and daughter Claudia C Kiser on Davis St Fairburn GA in Campbell County, now Fulton County, GA. States that she had 9 children and only 3 are living in 1910. A dau given as Jina on 1870 census is given as Queen J on 1880 census.
Any information about this family will be greatly appreciated. I grew up across the road from where Aunt Rowena (as grandpa called her) lived. She lived next to my grandparents on what is now Butner Rd. Thru the many years of research on this family have been unable to find any connection with the other Smith's families that lived in the area. She remains elusive as to her descendants. sdholland@mindspring.com
