Dear Tony,
I will share with you what I have on the Campbell family.
Alexander Campbell was born in abt. 1798 He married Margaret Honaker Oct. 20, 1823 in Monroe Co. Va ( now W. VA. )Margaret's father was Fredrick Honaker.She was born abt. 1798.Alexander was a wood carder.
This is all I know of Alexander.This information was given to me by a cousin who lived in Gap Mills across the street from the Old Campbell Homestead.I was there a few years ago and saw the house and took photos of William Robert and Sarah Elizabeth's tomb stone. ( they were my ggg grandparents. ) Unforunately Clark died a couple years ago. He was in his eighties.
Their children were;
1 William Robert Campbell b. 1824 d. July 8, 1894 Gap Mills
W. Va. He married Sarah Elizabeth Teays.
2 Levi Campbell b. 1826 m. Rachael
3. Sarah A. Campbell b. 1828
4. Daniel Campbell b. 1833 d. 1918 Gap Mills WVA.Daniel was in the Civil War ---served in Bryan's battery, Confederate Army.
5. Thomas P. Campbellb. 1835
6. Isaac N. Campbell b. 1837
7. George W. Campbell b. 1843
I have a poor copy of Daniel in his Civil War uniform. If you think this is your familyLet me know and I will try to e-mail you the photo. Or if you send me your address I can make a copy to mail to you.I also have a family photo of William Robert and his wife and some of the children. I also THINK I have found Margaret Honaker's family.I have not confirmed this yet.
Hope this helps you out, Tony.
Sincerely,
Lois
P.S. the cousin who shared this with me thought perhaps a William was the father of Alexander but had not made the connection.He was going on the premise that first grandsons were oftern named after the grandfather.
