Samuel Campbell m. Jane Hill/ Moved to Chester Co., S.C. in 1830's, from Georgia
My G-G-Grandmother was Susan E. Campbell, daughter of Samuel and Jane Hill Campbell, who moved to Chester County, South Carolina in the 1830's. Because Jane Hill was born in Georgia, and because Susan E. was also born in Georgia, it follows that the family must have been living there before the move. A James Campbell was already living in Chester County in the 1820's, and was most likely the older brother to Samuel, who may have moved there to join his brother. Susan E. married Solomon Thompson around 1853, and they had four daughters; Jane, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Susan Emily. Elizabeth (Lizzie) was my Great Grandmother.
Does anyone know where Samuel Campbell or any of his family might have been from?
