Jarrett Campbell born 1828 Ark
Jarrett Campbell was first son of Ephraim and Naomi Butler Campbell. He has an older sister, Elizabeth, born around in 1825 - some census say Ark, some say GA.
The only Jarrett/Campbell was Peter Campbell and Lucy Jarrett. I saw their children. Does anyone have their grandchildren. Also, who was Peter's father and mother?
From Revolutionary records, I know that GG Grandfather Samuel Covey servedon King's Mountan for Robert Campbell. Colonel William Campbell was the commanding officer.
Jarrett married Nov 20, 1851 in Ark Sarah Jane Smith, the granddaughter of Samuel Covey.
Samuel Covey signed the marriage bond of son, James, in Pulaski County (Montgomery) in 1810. Samuel and family, James and Family and brothers-in-law, Kelsey, moved to Franklin County Tenn before 1815.
Ephraim, Jarrett's father was in Ark in early 1820 (census) and the Covey/Pollard families move to Ark ca 1838.
In 1829,Independence Co.,Sheriff census enumerated William Campbell (age 30-40) Ephraim (age 20-30) and Jarrett Campbell (age 30-40) (not Ephraim's son Jarrett, my great grandfather, born 1828).
I would appreciate any information as I have hit the proverbally "brick wall" in Ark on my Campbell family.
