McCready/Campbell Connections, Beaver Co., PA, early 1800s
There exist two McCready/Campbell genealogies which are seriously discordant.
Marie McConnell, author of "The McCready Clan...", 1965, provides the most
extensive work available on the McCready immigrants to southwestern Pennsylvania.
One of the sources available to her, which she cited but in large part ignored, is
a chart made in 1930 by Ross T. Campbell, D.D. which traces descents of both
Campbells and McCreadys and the several relationships between them. (I thank Jack
Schweikert for providing me with a copy of the chart.)
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information bearing on these
families who lived in the part of Beaver County which in 1849 became Lawrence
County.The book and the chart disagreements can be summarized as follows:
