D W Campbell, 66, Vice-President and general manager of the TX Novelty Advertising Company, publishers of the "Evening Mirror", died suddenly at his desk Jan 1, 1932.
He was promiment in Hill Co [TX] for more than 40 years. He was born in Rugby, Englandand came to this country in his early youth. He came to TX in 1883, living for a short time in Dallas, Waxahachie and Lampasas before settling in Hillsboro.
He became connected with the "Mirror" in 1889 and since was closely id with the newspaper field in TX. He was closely associated with the Methodist Church,the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, and the Hillsboro Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife; 3 sons: Walter of Houston, Carl of Dallas, and Angus of Hillsboro; and an adopted daughter, Hettie, of Hillsboro.
