E. Thompson Campbell , S.C. ????????
I am looking for any info on this Campbell . I have no dates for him and I have no idea of what the E. stands for .
E. Thompson Campbell was my 2nd great grandfather . He was born in S.C. possibly in the 1840s . He married Margart Ashby . They had 2 children :
James Vermont Campbell b. 1871 KY.
William Evans Campbell b. 1873 Chillicothe , OH.
( It is possible that E. Thompson Campbell may have died before 1880 )
James Vermont Campbell married Jessie Burden of Elbert Co. Ga. . We know James V. was in Ga. by 1893 when he married Jessie . He lived the rest of his life in Ga. .Jessie and James V. had 5 children :
Earline Campbell 1895 , Ga.
James Glasgow Campbell b. 1895-1900 , Ga.
Valeria Campbell b. 1905 , S.C.
Elizabeth Campbell b. 1907 , Ga.
Guilford Ashby Campbell b. 1910 , Ga.
( Notice that only the boys had middle names ? Ashby is obviously signifigant - what about Glasgow ??? )
William Evans Campbell married Eva Alice Sims . Eva was born either in Ga. or S.C. . They had 3 children :
Rosabel Ashby Campbell b. 1905in Chester , S.C.
Francis Audrey Campbell b. 1908 in Chester S.C. ?
Lawrence Campbell b.1907 ?
Do any of these names and /or places sound familiar to your Campbells ?
Thanks for any help .
Eileen
