This is what I have:
James Camp, b. abt. 1761 prob. Guilford.
Had a child with Eunice Cutler:
Calvin Cutler, b. 5 Dec 1786 in Halifax, VT; md. Betsy Frink 7 Oct 1806; d. 10 Feb. 1864 (all this from IGI). Calvin was raised by his grandparents Joel and Betsey.
Eunice Cutler (b. abt. 1769 in Guilford (?); d. aft. 1822 in Marlborough, VT) - she is the d/o Joel Cutler andBetsey Nichols. The Cutler line goes back several centuries and appears well-documented by several researchers on Rootsweb. One researcher mentions a book on the Cutler family.
James Camp md. 1 - Hannah Rice (b. 12 Feb. 1772 in Guilford (?); d. between 1810 census and 1822 when James remarried). Hannah is the d/o Micah/Micajah Rice and Silence Rice (cousins, I believe). Hannah's line also appears well-documented and goes back several centuries. It too can be found on Rootweb. There are several books on the Rice family, one of which may mention this marriage.
I believe James is a brother of John Jr., William, and Reuben Camp but have no proof of that at this point. Land records and Warnings Out of Vermont imply a relationship of some sort between these Camps and John Sr. of Guilford, who is most likely their father.
Would like to share information with other Camp researchers.
Doug
