Dave:
Thanks for your posting. I have been in contact with other members of the family. And have received some information from them.I have not contacted Jim.
I show that James Stevens Camlin was born in 1916. Jim's father, James Keenan Camlin was brother to my grandmother, Margaret Jane Camlin Ralston (born 1877 in Scottdale, married 1905 Edgar Lee Ralston in Scottdale, she died 1955 in McDonald).
Actually J.K. Camlin and his wife, Ida Mae were in my family home in Massachusetts when I was a little kid in the '50s.I also recall us Ralstons visiting the Camlins in Scottdale as well in the '50s and '60s.
One piece of information that I do not have is any date for birth, marriage and/or death of the parents of JK and my grandmother.I show their names as John Camlin and Margaret Dalzell.I believe that one or both came to the US from Ireland, probably County Down, near Ballyroony (sp?). I do not know when. And of course I have no information on their parents.
I would be delighted if you were able to shed any light on the early Camlins.
Again, thanks for responding. There has not been much activity on this page at Genforum.
