I am searching for a Beatrix Grant born c1711. She was the daughter of Donald Grant of Inverlochie.
I do not know her mothers name.
Like her brother, Beatrix may have been born at Deskford, ?
Beatrix Grant married Patrick Grant (c1731?) at a yet unidentified location.
The children of Beatrix and Patrick are believed to be Grace Grant who married Alexander Cameron; John Grant; Francis Grant; Possibly others. This John Grant and Francis Grant are believed to be Jamaica 'Planters'.
Aeneas Cameron, the son of Grace Grant & Alexander Cameron, was born 1757, Parish of Kirkmichael (Grampian).
He arrived in Jamaica via Quebec in 1786.
He was related to William Grant of Trois-Rivieres, Senior partner of the North West Co., Grant, Campion & Co. Aeneas may have been married to Marjory Grant, 1775, Abernathie. There is no record of Aeneas having married in Canada.
James Cameron was also the son of Grace Grant & Alexander Cameron. James married Janet Farquharson (Date & place unknown) Their son, Angus Cameron, bc1782, became a chief Factor of the HBCo.
Beatrix' brother may have been John Grant in Inverlochie who was married to Jean Forbes. John may have been born in 1720 at Deskford. Jean Forbes, possibly born 1721 in Inveraurie, may have been the daughter of a William Forbes; mother's name unknown.)Their children of John & Jean were:
Donald, 1739
Jean, 1740
William, 1743, married Marguerite Fafard dit Laframboise
Elizabeth, 1745
Margaret, 1746
Margaret, 1748
Ann Grant, 1751
All of the children were born at Inverlochie, Parish of Kirkmichael. John and at least son William and possibly Donald came to North America in mid 1700s.
