My great great grandpa was Alexander Cameron. He was born in Springhill Nova Scotia. I beleive that several generations of Cameron's were born in Springhill NS. He would have been born about 1875 because their oldest child (Lillian Cameron) was born about 1895.
They moved from Springhill to Fernie British Columbia before 1900, because great grandpa John Alexander was born in Coal Creek B.C. (just outside of Fernie) April 8, 1901. John (Jack) later married Myrtle Alberta Blades and they had two children. Rosemary Caroline and John Blades. John (Little Jack) married Lorna Leavitt- later divorced and married Mona Cohen.
Any ideas where I can go to pursue this? My grandpa (little Jack) was only able to give me the above info and the only thing I know outside of this is at one point- someone was a mountie. Anyone know more or where I can find more?
