I would very much appriciate any information on Harvey Gillespie's family preceeding him. I know his parents were Lafayette or Marcus Lafayette Gillespie and Eliza Hunter. I believe Lafayette's father was Thomas Gillespie, and that Thomas left the Missouri area around the time of the Civil War, but all of our information stops there.
All I can say is thank you for your help. Even though I know some of the census hits on the Oregon Camerons are not correct, there are a couple that look as though they may be correct, and those give me a direction to dig in. That seems to be the name of this game. Again, thank you.
