Archibald Cameron was an officer in the East Florida Rangers (1777-1778). The Colonel of the regiment was Thomas Brown. The unit was re-organized during or just before the siege of Savannah, and was then called simply "The Kings Rangers", but is sometimes referred to as the "Kings Carolina Rangers". About half of the unit were actual Floridians; the rest were loyalists from South Carolina and Georgia. See "The King's Ranger" for more info.
I'm not sure if he survived; but it seems like he was wounded. I met some Camerons when I was in Halifax last year, and they were from Cape Breton (Sydney). It would be quite coincidental if they were descendants...
