Was in Nelson County recently and copied quite a few documents. Although they were new to me, lots of you folks probably already have them. I'll post them for those who don't and maybe they'll help someone!! Sylvia Nelson County Will Book N, Page 455 Will of Mildred Camden, 1893 I, Mildred Camden, being of sound mind and deposing memory do make and publish this my last will and testament. 1st. I give, bequeath and devise to my niece Harriet A. Perkins and William T. Perkins her husband, all of my tract of land upon which I now reside upon conditions that shall be hereinafter mentioned. The annual profits or rents of said land to be used and enjoyed by my said niece and her husband for and during their natural life as their own estate, free from any debts that they may owe, or may contract and with power in them to bind only the yearly profits for their current yearly expenses and at their death to pass to their two infant children Rayburn M. and Herman E. Perkins. 2nd. One of the conditions referred to in the 1st clause is, I give and bequeath to my maiden sisters Sarah and Clara G. Gillespie a home in my dwelling with my niece Harriet A. and her husband William T. Perkins, and a support from the rents or profits of my estate, and this shall be a lien upon the same paramount to all others. I further direct that my niece Harriet A. and her husband William T. Perkins shall care for their wants and comforts during their natural life or maidenhood. 3rd. Another condition is, should Harriet A. or William T. Perkins die and the survivor marry again his or her interest shall cease to exist on the day of the 2nd marriage and he or she shall be debarred from having any control over my estate. 4th. Another condition referred to in the 1st clause is, I give and devise to my nephew William C. Gillespie one half of the amount that the mines he has opened may sell for and $200 of the other half I invest him with the power to sell the same. The remainder of the other half to be held by my niece Harriet A. and her husband William T. Perkins in trust with the right to use the interest or profits on the same and to be paid to my two great nephews Rayburn M. and Herman E. Perkins on their attaining their majority, to be equally divided between them. I appoint William T. Perkins trustee for my two great nephews Rayburn M. and Herman E. Perkins. 5th. I further direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. 6th. I give, bequeath and devise to my sister Clara G. Gillespie an annuity of $10 in addition to the provisions made in the 2nd section of this my will. Given under my hand this 5th day of October 1893. Mildred Camden (her X mark) (seal) Witnesses: James Dickie Joseph W. Perkins In Nelson County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office, July 28th, 1904. The last will and testament of Mildred Camden late of this County, deceased, was produced to me in said office and fully proved by the oath of Joseph W. Perkins, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto who also proved at the same time that the testatrix subscribed her name to the same in the presence of himself and the other subscribing witness and they attested the same in the presence of the testatrix and in the presence of each other and at her request and was thereupon admitted to record.
