Hello,
one of my uncle left France in 1944 for Vietnam as a soldier, joining without any other choice the military group called "Tirailleurs marocains". I know he married a Vietnamese woman and had 2 children. The last time my father saw him was in 1956 in Marseille French Port (Mediterranean Sea): he is supposed to have reached another country: maybe Madagascar or more simply should he have returned to Vietnam ?? His name is Gérard Henri GRENET, born in 1926 in Paris.
I would be very grateful to anybody who could help me find some tracks about this sad story.
