Don't know if this will help you or not but it is a few notes I have on Murry/Cass/Gordon Co, GA Campbells.

My Campbells were in Cass Co just as it became Gordon Co, GA.
Reuben Campbell -m- Mary Polly Dillard c1828 Monroe Co, TN. Reuben said to have been born in SC going to TN as a young man. Don't know the parents of Reuben Campbell but think he might tie into the Newman/Campbell family that was in 1170-1820 Spartanburg SC area.

Cass Co, GA records very little on Campbells
In 1837 Joseph Campbell of Cass Co, GA purchased land from a Thomas
Ragland of Baldwin Co, TN
In 1847 William H. Campbell transacted land sales with a William
Markham V and William Dillard -sold land to Joseph B. McSpadden, his
brother in law.
Bartow (prev. Cass) Co wills 1836-1885 found no Campbells.
marriage records in 1837 Mary Campbell. In 1890 Nancy Dillard.

Note: check into the Joseph Campbell b SC that keeps showing up, in 1837 Cass Co, GA, 1860 Gordon Co, GA
