I still have not been able to find Fred Ransome Campbell in 1880 . I have tried with using just first name Fred and first name Ransome (various spellings) as well as just surname (various spellings and approximate birth date but nothing.
I have tried looking for him in all states in case he moved from NY and had not arrived in MI yet. I also tried to find his parents and siblings (assuming I have the right family) bit they are missing as well.
It is very odd.
Jeremiah is in 1880 so I can copy that for you if you would like to have it.

they have graves of Jeremiah and others of his family shown. There is quite a write up on Jeremiah, just click on his name to see it.
It says that Jeremiah and Emily had 3 sons and adopted 3 daughters. I am wondering if they are basing this on the census records. It still looks to me like Ransome (born about 1833 ) would likely be their son which would make sons at least 4 in number rather than 3. They don't list the names of all the children.
