Actually, Frederick Calvit and family migrated to Natchez County, around 1788, 1790 Frederick died, his wife who was Mary Elizabeth Montford Calvit was a widow, she remarried a John Roberts in 1790, several months after Fredericks death. In Fredericks will he had the children placed under a guardian, grown children were on their own, smaller children unknown if they remained with Mary Elizabeth and John. 1898 census shows 3 boys and 3 girls in the home. Fredericks property was put up for sale,John Roberts was one of the buyers. The sale was authorized by the king. Remember this was a territory. Other property in the estate was given to Mary Elizabeth and upon her death to the children. 1802 John Roberts will gives property, money to Mary Elizabeth, and slaves to his God Son James Duncan Stewart. James stewart (the father) is the executor of John
Roberts will. The property that John Roberts had purchased from the sale of Fredericks Estate, was sold to pay John Roberts debts. Mary Elizabeth in 1805 listed on census with the children. And, she dies in 1805, unknow if a will had been made. But, her grown children including Lucrecia Culvit Stewart, yes, she was married to James Stewart, sued her mothers estate and her he own husband. 1808 the Stewart family appears to have the Roberts children with them. 1810 still has some of the Roberts children with them, 1815 all the Roberts children are out of the house, James Stewart has been in the Militia with several of the Roberts boys, 1820 James Stewart and Lucrecia are divorce, listed in the Stewart family Bible, that currently is in Baton Rouge, La. That is the story of Frederick, Mary Elizabeth Montford Culvit Roberts and John Roberts. The original Roberts home was on Villa Goyoso, which is now Jefferson County, miss. I am sure that all three, Frederick, John and Mary Elizabeth are all buried in Jefferson County, miss.
