i am descendant of nathaniel calvert, a native of ireland, who immigrated to ny (cortland county) state in boyhood where he grew up and married betsy e. gamble. nathaniel was born we believe in 1781 and died in 1848 and buried in crawford county, pa. (tombstone almost illegible). nathaniel's son joseph w. and his wife mary andrews, settled in mercer county in 1820 in west salem twp.joseph w. and mary had six children: Elizabeth, margaret, john n., joseph a., mary and emma. Joseph A. (alexander) married Maud McMillan of greenville, pa. their son, Joseph E. was my grandfather. His son, James W. Calvert, my father. My top priority is to find out more about nathaniel and his parents and siblings, and from where they emigrated.
