Susannah McElfish married John Twigg, Jr.
Susannah's birth was circa 1771. John Twigg was b.
circa 1766 and d. in 1821.
They had 10 children: Elizabeth, John McElfish,
Nancy, Abuad, Gabriel, Amon, David D., Darcus
Irene, Weston, and Lourenza.
Does anyone have any info on:
l. Parents of Susannah McElfish (It is thought
her parents were Susannah Cheney and Thomas
Mackelfresh.}?
There were variations in the spelling of Mackel-
frish, i.e. Mackelfresh, MacElfish,or McElfish.
They lived in Allegany Co., Maryland.
2. It is possible that our Thomas McElfresh was
the son of David Mackelfrish of Anne Arundel
Co., however, we cannot establish correct
birth dates for our records.
