I have been assisting Marie Vanhoose Sayre w/her Addison P (Parks) CALVERT line the past 5 or 6 weeks. During this time, I have run across an Addison PARKS who m Elizabeth Sandifer d/o Edmund Sandifer in 1838.
Moses PARKS had a son he named Adison/Addison K. PARKS. Perhaps K stands for Karrick.
Adison/Addison P. Calvert was the s/o we don't know who right now but I am 'hot on whoever his father was tail'!
Then I have seen reference to an A. B. Calvert, perhaps Adison/Addison B. (perhaps Bernard) CALVERT.
If anyone has further data that what I have posted, post it. Thanks a bunch.
Oh, and Addison P. PARKS is in Rowan Co. and Davidson Co NC IN 1870! They are both listed on the Familytreemaker 1870 census CD. I do not know if the Addison PARKS in Boyle Co in 1860 removed to NC, or if, perhaps, this is his father in NC, or what. Y'all go look and get back with me!
Addison P. Calvert can be found in the 1860, 70 census of Boyle Co with with, Mary B. (Gray) CALVERT, sister to Addison's first wife, Sarah. By 1880 they are in Cass Co MO? WHY? Ca 1900 they removed to Idaho? WHY?
Born ca 1841-42, Addison P. Calvert was probably b in KY. 1880 census in Cass Co MO states he was b in MO, but then in 1860 census, it states he was b in KY, his brother, William, in MO. Go figure! Anyway, I am unable to locate Addison P. Calvert in 1850 census when he would be 8-10 yrs old. I THINK one, or both, of his parents are dead and he is found in 1860 living with George Sandifer, age 23 and Addision is 18. Below Addison's name is that of William Calvert, b MO, assumed to be, by this researcher, his brother.
There are other Calvert children living with other people, such as in 1880 and Robert H. Gray, father of Sarah and Mary B. Gray Calvert, has a Julia A. Calvert, age 8-9 living in same household. Listed as his grand-daughter, who were her parents? Addison P. Calvert and Mary B. Gray Calvert, who, in 1880, are on the Cass Co MO census?
