Hi Susan,
This is some info that I have on my sons "Calvert family" that came to Kansas from Kentucky.
Landon CALVERT (son of Dudley CALVERT & Elizabeth RICHARDS of Lewis Co. KY.) was born, 7 Jul 1861 Concord, Lewis Co. Kentucky. He married on 27 Nov 1884 in Concord, KY. to Sarah Amanda CROPPER (dtr. of John William CROPPER & Martha Jane CRAWFORD, both of Lewis Co. KY.). Landon's death date & place is unknown to me, though Kansas, possibly Wichita is a very good senareo. I only know of 3 children of this couple, they are,
#1. Elmer Milton, 2. Anna Belle, and 3. Mable Esther CALVERT.
#1. Elmer Calvert was born, 9 Nov 1888 Concord, Lewis Co. KY. He married his 1st. wife, Nellie May BLACKWELL on 25 Jan 1918. His 2nd wife was Mrs. Grace (Nee)? SHANK. Elmer died, 19 Feb 1970 Wichita, Kansas, and is buried in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado, Butler Co. KS. (He was a Mortician). Elmer & Nellie had 2 known children. #A. Sarah May & #B. Anna Pearl CALVERT.
#A. Sarah May CALVERT, born 22 Apr 1921 El Dorado, KS. Died, 21 Mar 1988 Battle Creek, Calhoun Co. MI. She married a "Mr. POTTER", but had previously gave birth to a daughter born out of Wed-Lock by Joseph Elmer GREEN, her daughters name was Jacquelynn Ann CALVERT. (she was my sons grandmother).
#B. Anna Pearl CALVERT. She married a Mr. MYERS.
#2 Anna Belle CALVERT, born 16 Jul 1889 in Kentucky. She married a "Mr. MEEKER". She died, Nov 1986 in Wichita, KS. She was living in El Dorado, KS. at the time of her brother Elmer's death in 1970.
#3. Mable Esther CALVERT, born 8 Feb 1894, Kentucky. She MAY have died in Kansas?
