Linda Schlarb writes, "I have a Cyrus Calvert who married into our line by marrying Susan Rebecca Carr on 23 NOV
1848 in Franklin County, Kentucky. Our family line comes thru William Miles. I have been told, but am unable to prove, that the Miles side of the family came to America with George Calvert(Lord Baltimore). Do you know anything about this or have more family for Cyrus Calvert?

Linda,

This is an established line of the Calvert family from Prince William Co., Va. Going back to Lord Baltimore we have Cyrus, Isaac, Obed, Obed, George, *George, William, Leonard, George -the 1st Lord Baltimore.

The George with an * is the supposed son of the William Calvert of Maryland and the grandson of Leonard Calvert, the 1st gov. of Maryland. There are questions about this George, who appeared in Stafford Co, Va. around 1688. We lack proof that he is the son of William Calvert, however you will find many genealogies claiming descent from Lord Baltimore based on the relationship.

Cyrus Calvert had only one daughter, Malinda N. Calvert and she died unmarried on Feb. 18, 1891. How do you connect to this family.
