Hi

I am researching the Sheffield Flood (UK), 12th March 1864 and am trying to locate the graves of as many of the victims as possible, with a view to then further researching their family line.

Three members of the CALTON (recorded at the time as COLTON) family from Long Croft, in Sheffield, died : Christopher (age 32), his wife Mary (30) and a young relative. In a report at the time, it was recorded that the 5 year old daughter of Christopher’s sister died yet in the list of the victims the child was listed as Christopher age 4.

I am also in touch with someone else researching COLTON, including a Christopher (who died before1867) ; his son Thomas (born 1838) and his daughter Ada (1892-1929).

Do the above sound familiar ? - I would love to hear from you. Thanks in anticipation of your reply.

Best Regards
