This is, in part what the 1981 Calton Family History book has to say about Noah (I have more on this line if you're interested) I'd love to hear from you. e-mail me at:
pattical@computerhut.net.Joel and Julia (Bailey) Calton
Joel and Julia came to Mo. c.a. 1840. Julia having her church letter
dated 1839. The 1840 Barry Co. Census shows them there with 3 boys and 2
girls still in the home. The next account finds Julia in Wright Co. in
1850 with Eunice and Samuel with her. Evidently they had come to Laclede
Co. in the early part of the 1840's as family information shows Joel to
be buried in the little Brush Creek Cemetery on PP hiway in Laclede Co.
Noah, his son had evidently lived near there as Noah's first wife, Mary
Brake and several babies are also buried there. All the family
information on Joel and
Julia is not available. The children we can document are 1. Morgan 2.
Samuel 3. Noah 4. Eunice.
