Hi there, I do not have any direct information for I am still begging for information on the Calloway's myself. Things I do know is that are several Calloway people doing the same search almost as you are doing. Now the name Thomas is quite common in all surnames, but in the timeframe you want it is a little easier. This person could be related to my Calloway branch of Ashe Co. NC maybe a cousin or uncle of my Shadrack Calloway. Try using ancestry.com or rootsweb.com and look up some Calloway's that are named Thomas. Rememeber at first you want to limit your search to NC for that is where John was born. You can also type in Calloway for a general search and you will be directed to some people that have websites of their own that have done research on the Calloway. Before I go, a bit of trivia. I never found out if I am directly related to this branch of Calloway's, but I guess one of the Calloway men married Daniel Boone's daughter. Later on if their information was correct, several Boone and Calloway decsandants (sp) married into each respected family. Keep in touch for I might learn something new. Dave
