John Banks Callow born about 1853. Shown as being 8 yr. on the 1861 census. taken at Douglas, IOM.
He was listed later as a seaman in the Merchant Marine and as mariner. Is there a way to check a listing of seaman or mariners for that time and if it is possible that he died in this line of work? He is not listed in the 1881 British Isles Census.
I appreciate any help.
