So Many Edwards, So Little Time
Is there something in the Callow bloodline that
impels us to name ourselves "Edward"? I've been
trying for years to find out about my grandfather,
one of the multitudinous Edward Callows throughout history,
and have been coming up short of what I'm searching for
as I wade the Eddies. Anything someone can expand upon with the following information would be MOST appreciated:
Born: 1898 somewhere in England
He was in WW1
Came to American in 1917 or thereabouts.
Married Dorothy Cameron, my gradmother, around
1925. They lived in Flint, Michigan, later possibly
Brown City, Michigan. They had two children:
William C. and Mary L. (my mother) both deceased.
Edward was a jeweler in Flint.
Edward divorced my grandmother
left her and the children and went back to
England. I am not certain of the year, sometime
during the 1930's. I believe he then remarried,
also in the 1930's, in England. I believe he died around 1970 in England.
That's where my knowledge ends.
I would like to know:
~ what his parent names were and further back if possible.
~ more about his life in general.
Thank you for reading this and best of success
with your own searches.
