Hi my name is Jeff Callison. I have just recently started to search my background.I have traced back to my gggfather as James Madison Callison b1797 d1865 married to Sarah Shawver. They had 7 children. Nancy, Sally, William, Issac, Andrew, Robert and James Madison.
My ggfather I am told was also a James Madison. I am not positive of that.
My Grandfather was Abraham Callison and my father was Walter Darrell Callison.
I have a 4.5 acre parcel in Rainelle WVA that has the grave of Madison Callison b1829 d1888 PVT CO B Illinois Cavalry on it. This was an original 117 agre parcel that was obtain on 02/26/1897 by A.L. Callison & D.A. Callison(my grandparents ) & James M. & Mary E. Callison.(??)from S.J. & Clary Egner.
There is Hickmans which adjoins the lot and to my understanding I believe Hickman is also related. And to the other side of the roadway is Carter homestead which I think my have been my Aunt Courtney's place she would have married Carter(Bill I believe)
My Fathers brothers and sisters were Irene, Courtney,
Milt(Zek),Hershel,Jack and I not sure of one name but am sure there was one more.
